Project Management Offices

Project Management Offices (PMO) are increasingly being viewed as an essential component that enables the success of projects, and hence, the future success of the entire organization. At a more tactical level, values provided by a PMO include: the building of a project management methodology and the establishment and deployment of a common set of project management processes. These values are also reflected in the improved project team communication and in improved processes and utilized best practices.

 

PMOs values are also viewed in the tracking of basic project status information providing project visibility to management in a common and consistent manner, and in the training and coaching services to keep projects from getting into trouble.
